Our Statement of Faith
We believe that the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God, are without error in the original manuscripts, and are the supreme and final authority in faith and life (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21).
We believe that there is one true and living God (Deuteronomy 6:4, I Thessalonians 1:9) eternally existing (Psalms 90:2) in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (I John 5:7).
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16; I John 4:9), conceived by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:35), born of the virgin Mary (Luke 1:27-35), and is truly God and truly man (Colossians 2:9).
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, Himself without sin (II Corinthians 5:21; I Peter 2:22), died for our sins (I Corinthians 15:3), according to the Scriptures as the perfect substitutionary sacrifice (Isaiah 53:4-5; I Peter 2:24), and that all who believe on Him are fully redeemed as the basis of His shed blood (Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:20).
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord (Luke 24:39), in His ascension into heaven (Mark 16:19; Acts 1:11), and in His presence there for us as the High Priest and Advocate (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25-28; I John 2:1).
We believe in the personal (Acts 1:11), imminent (Revelation 22:20) pre-millennial (Revelation 19-20), return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), that he sinned by disobedience (Romans 5:19) and therefore incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God (Romans 5:12), and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature (Psalms 51:5).
Salvation by Faith
We believe that all who truly repent of their sins before God (Acts 3:19) and who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior become the sons of God (John 1:12).
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust (John 5:28-29), the everlasting blessedness of the saved (Revelation 21-22:5), and the everlasting, conscious punishment of the lost (Matthew 25:46).
We believe in the personal existence of Satan (Job 1:7), that his power was broken at Calvary (Hebrews 2:14), that he will be finally committed to the Lake of Fire with all his angels to be tormented forevermore (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10).
We believe that God the Holy Spirit persuades and convinces the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8-11). The Holy Spirit indwells (John 14:17; I Corinthians 3:16), enlightens (John 16:13), and empowers the believer (Acts 1:8), and equips persons in the church with gifts of the Holy Spirit
(I Corinthians 12:7-11).
